This museum-deserving masterpiece is a rare solid silver wire called Larin or Lari. This antique original piece is made of solid silver and dates back to 300-400 years ago (Safavid), adding to its historical significance and value.
Larin or Lari is the name of a class of objects used by merchants traveling alongside the Silk Road and in areas around the Arabian Sea. It is a piece of high-grade Silver Wire few centimeters long, usually folded in two parts and shaped like a U or C. Lari were engraved with the name of the local ruler in Arabic text.
The bend found in most Lari is a reflection of people testing its Silver authenticity by bending them. Lari are currently kept in famous museums around the world.
